The Illinois Department of Revenue lists Woodridge under DuPage, Will and Cook counties. The sales tax rate depends on the county. Since August 1, 2026, the DuPage and Will portions have been at 8.50% and the Cook portion at 10.50%. Each figure went up 0.25 point from the prior rate. If you have one location in the Cook part of the village and another elsewhere in town, they should not be collecting the same rate.
Property tax follows the county line too. DuPage runs its general reassessment every four years, with 2027 next. Cook works on a three-year regional cycle. Will County has its own process.
Choose DuPage lists Woodridge’s major employers as Eaton Corporation, Ace Hardware, Bridgestone Americas Tire, Hendrickson USA, Morey Corporation, Inventus Power, Home Run Inn Pizza and Little Caesars. The village has ten business parks and light industrial areas, including the Internationale Centre. There are three I-355 interchanges in the village, and the I-355/I-55 interchange is identified as a key business location. Main Street at Seven Bridges adds more than 400 acres of mixed-use development. Total employment in the village is about 19,698.
For a smaller manufacturer, distributor or trade firm in one of those parks, these services fit through the year:
The village has about 33,889 residents, and 73.7% of adults are in the labor force, according to Choose DuPage. For a household with its own small business, the personal and business returns are prepared together so the numbers match. Our tax preparation covers individual federal and Illinois returns as well as business filings.
